Significant contributor to The
Outback Baseball League. League founder and inaugural Commissioner in
2003. League trophy named in his honor. Guided Section 8 to a stirring
4th place finish in 2003 despite only spending a scarce amount of time
actively managing his team. Section 8 finished 2003 with 46 points,
challenging the third place and show team, Ninja Devil Angel (47.5
points) until the very end. Klee, the original ninja, now spends his
time living the dream...
In 2005, Klee came out of
retirement and once again put on his baseball spikes to compete in The
Outback Baseball League....
Brian Pagliaro - 2005
inductee, 30 HOF points
Winner of
consecutive Outback Baseball League championships. Managed
them helm of league championship teams in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Known for his shrewd managerial abilities, most notably, building
the best young team nucleus in all of The Outback Baseball League
(with the likes of M. Cabrera, G. Sizemore, C. Crawford, V.
Guerrero, R. Howard) and a trade during the 2007 draft that had the
Lead Pipe Locks Too in position to win a fourth straight crown.
The old adage that offense wins championships held true for Pagliaro,
as both in 2005 and 2006 Pagliaro was two points from perfect scores
in offensive categories, amassing 46 out of a possible 48 points
each year.
In 2007, Pagliaro challenged the validity of a trade involving
league founder, Joseph Klee, and one of Pagliaro's staunchest
competitors, Eric Waters. Pagliaro questioned the authority
and decision-making abilities of the Office of the Commissioner and
as a result, Pagliaro was dismissed as a manager in The Outback
Baseball League and the Lead Pipe Locks Too were contracted.
